Jack Gorman is an accomplished independent filmmaker who brings stories to life through his expertise as a screenwriter, director, producer, and editor. With a Master’s in Film and Media Studies and certificates from UCLA, Jack offers insightful feedback on completed films, screenplays, production logistics, and editing, helping projects reach their fullest potential.
For the last several years, Jack has collaborated with his creative partner Shannon Walsh to create a variety of award-winning films and scripts.
It All starts with a great script
With over a dozen completed scripts between them, most of which have won multiple awards and ranked in the top 5% on Coverfly, it was screenwriting that first launched Jack and Shannon’s partnership in UCLA’s prestigious Writing for Television program.
Since his inception into the film industry, Jack Gorman has established a reputation as a multifaceted independent filmmaker with a deep passion for storytelling. His expert background equips him to provide valuable insights on various aspects of film production.

Career Conversion
from sports executive to filmmaker
Jack has also completed graduate-level certificates at UCLA in Screenwriting and Producing, in addition to his Master’s in Film and Media Studies from Arizona State. These, combined with a foundation in digital media studies and television production, completed Jack’s career conversion from professional sports executive to filmmaking.
During his time in professional sports, Jack split his time between being a scout, in event operations, and commercial creation, all of which directly inform his filmmaking career today. He produced and created award-winning commercials and video promotions that aired on broadcasts such as Wimbledon and the World Cup and were shown in sports arenas for thousands. He also managed gameday operations for several years, creating game scripts and copy while managing live events during the events. In two decades in professional sports, Jack’s teams won six championships and set records for winning and revenues.
